Mega Man Star Force anime gets a new lease on life

The latest episode of the Mega Man Star Force anime, titled 'From Double to Bubble,' has arrived, bringing with it the introduction of a new, eccentric villain and a powerful debut from a familiar ally. This installment continues the animated adventures of Geo Stelar and his alien partner Omega-Xis, who merge to become Mega Man, as they protect Earth from interdimensional threats.

The episode sees the FM-ian Cancer finding a human host, a young boy, to transform into the flamboyant Cancer Bubble. The Mega Man Star Force anime originally aired in Japan starting October 7, 2006, and concluded in March 2008, running for a total of 76 episodes. The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is set to release on March 27, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This collection will bundle all three original Mega Man Star Force games, which were first released for the Nintendo DS between 2006 and 2008. These games represent a significant evolution from the Mega Man Battle Network series, introducing 3D battles and a new narrative focused on electromagnetic waves and alien encounters.

Players who pre-order the Legacy Collection will receive bonus musical arrangements and alternate main menu navigators featuring Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis. The collection itself will include various quality-of-life upgrades, such as autosaving, camera panning, speed boosts, and adjustable difficulty settings, aiming to make the classic titles more accessible to a modern audience.
