Pants Pants Revolution is a news site about video games, retro gaming, emulation, technology, Linux, and all the wonderfully nerdy things that orbit those worlds. It exists for one reason: to make it easier to follow gaming and tech news without wading through politics, outrage, or algorithm-driven noise.

This site was created and is maintained by me, Rob from Detroit (now living in Sydney), a lifelong gamer, collector, technologist, and unapologetic nerd with a deep love for music, retro video games, Linux, and the technical side of how things work.

I got tired of keeping up with video game news through social networks. What should've been a quick scroll for announcements, reviews, or industry updates turned into an exhausting exercise in dodging political arguments, culture wars, and unrelated commentary. The signal-to-noise ratio just kept getting worse.

So I built this. Pants Pants Revolution came out of that frustration, and out of wanting a place where gaming and technology are the focus again.

The site covers modern and retro video games, emulation news, preservation efforts, Linux and open-source topics, mods, hardware hacks, and whatever else fits.Right now, Pants Pants Revolution doesn't run advertisements. That's intentional. Quality content first, without intrusive banners, autoplay videos, or aggressive tracking. That said, hosting and infrastructure aren't free, and ads will probably show up at some point to help cover costs.

I don't care if we get a story first. I just want a story to not be missed by enthusiasts like us.

Comments are disabled for now. Not because discussion isn't valued. Proper moderation takes time, and I'd rather have no comments than an unmoderated section that turns into spam and hostility. When comments do get turned on, they'll be moderated. I mean, have you seen the internet? It's rough out there.

I am not amazing with words. AI is often used to reword articles or parts of articles. That's fine, right?

At its core, this site is about reclaiming enthusiasm. Remembering why games, computers, and technology grabbed our attention in the first place. To get laid. Well actually, because they fill the empty hole in my soul.

Welcome to fewer distractions and unapologetically nerdy content.

Welcome to a place built for people who love games and technology for what they are.

Welcome to the revolution of the pants.

p.s. I bought this domain decades ago because I thought it was stupid and funny. Probably after watching someone rocking on a DDR machine.

p.p.s. Sorry there are ads here. I'm currently trying to break even on hosting fees.

Be excellent to each other.
