October 23rd free games roundup
Four PC games are free to claim and keep right now across Amazon Prime Gaming and the Epic Games Store, with a heavy focus on horror just in time for Halloween.
Halloween is a week away, and the digital storefronts are leaning hard into the season. Four PC games are free to claim and keep right now across Amazon Prime Gaming and the Epic Games Store, following the latest batch of October giveaways going live.
Amazon Prime Gaming

1. Ad Infinitum
First announced as part of Amazon's October 2026 slate earlier this month, Berlin studio Hekate's 2023 first-person psychological horror game is now live to claim. It puts you in the boots of a traumatized German soldier caught between the hallucinations of World War I trenches and his family's decaying manor. Prime members can grab it for their Epic Games Store library at no cost until November 25, and I'm curious to see how well its creature design holds up once you leave the manor behind for the mud of the Western Front.
2. Time Travel: Escape Room Game

If trench warfare sounds like a bit much for a Friday night, Peaksel's 2024 casual puzzle adventure offers a much lighter set of brainteasers. You're jumping across different historical eras in a broken time machine, hunting for hidden objects and rare crystals to keep the engine running. It's free for Prime subscribers as a Legacy Games code through November 25.

3. Sker Ritual
Wales Interactive took the folklore setting of its 2020 stealth horror game Maid of Sker and turned it into a round-based co-op shooter in the vein of classic Call of Duty Zombies. One to four players fend off waves of the Quiet Ones across 1914 Sker Island using steampunk rifles and Celtic god powers, which is a wild tonal pivot from a studio mostly known for FMV games, though I'm not convinced the solo scaling hits quite as hard as a full four-player lobby. It normally goes for $24.99, and you can add it to your Epic library for free until October 29.
4. Home - A Unique Horror Adventure
Benjamin Rivers' 2012 pixel-art mystery kicks off with an amnesiac protagonist waking up in a dark, unfamiliar house during a storm. Rather than locking you into a fixed script, the game quietly shifts its narrative based on what you examine and how you interpret the clues you find along the way. It's free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 29, when Sorry We're Closed rotates in to take its spot.
All four offers are available for a limited time, so make sure to claim them before their respective windows close on October 29 and November 25.
Ad Infinitum is available on Humble Bundle for $3.49 (90% off).
