Four free games are up for grabs right now, led by Epic's weekly giveaway of retro spy puzzler Agent A: A puzzle in disguise and rubber-hose horror game Bad Cheese.

Four free games are ready to claim right now, split between the Epic Games Store's weekly giveaway and a pair of weird, smaller indie releases over on itch.io. Epic's weekly rotation has brought us some good picks lately, including Havendock and Hyper Echelon earlier this year, and this week's pairing of 1960s espionage and 1920s psychological horror is a strong follow-up.

1. Agent A: A puzzle in disguise

Developed by Melbourne studio Yak & Co, this 1960s-styled espionage adventure drops you into the retro mid-century lair of enemy spy Ruby La Rouge with roughly 35 rooms and over 100 interconnected logic puzzles to untangle. It's a classic escape-room setup that first launched on mobile in 2015 before getting a complete edition on PC and consoles in August 2019, where it still holds an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on its Steam store page. Normally $19.99, the game is 100% free to claim and keep on the Epic Games Store (and on Android and iOS via the Epic Games mobile app) until October 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM UTC.

2. Bad Cheese

Solo developer Simon Lukasik and publisher Feardemic released this psychological horror adventure in September 2025, trading on the eerie, monochrome rubber-hose look of 1920s Fleischer and Disney cartoons. You play as Keymick, a young mouse trying to survive a tense weekend alone with an abusive father by sweeping floors, frying food, and hunting spiders before things turn genuinely surreal, and I'm curious how well the mundane chore loop holds up once the initial shock of the art style wears off. Regularly $12.99 on PC (and currently discounted on Steam), it's free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM UTC, though store restrictions block claims in Australia, Brazil, Germany, Russia, and South Korea.

3. JACKED! From Stick to Stacked

Built in Godot by developer bigjokker and drawn entirely like black pencil on white paper, this comedic 3D open-world sim starts at 2:47 AM when a late-night infomercial convinces a level-zero twig named Jack to turn himself into a mountain of muscle. Between doing garage push-ups until your arms give out and flexing at passing cars for cash, there are 109 odd jobs from the neighbors and over 40 playable retro arcade games tucked inside Jack's living room TV. The Windows download is available right now on itch.io as a free name-your-own-price release with no set expiration date, and while the developer notes that generative AI assisted with parts of the project, the hand-drawn premise is weird enough to warrant a look.

4. Soul Forge

You play as Brannoc the blacksmith in this short pixel-art game, dipping blades into a forbidden flame to earn soul shards and pulling them out right before the metal cracks and shatters. A full run across its three levels takes about 15 to 25 minutes as you chain together last-second pulls and spend shards on stacking shop upgrades between rounds. It's completely free to play in desktop or mobile browsers on itch.io with no sign-up or expiration date attached, though I'm not sure how much replay value remains once you clear the third forge's quota.

Make sure to grab the Epic Games Store giveaways before the cutoff at 3:00 PM UTC on October 22, when the store swaps them out for Home - A Unique Horror Adventure and Sker Ritual.
