Great deals on great collections
It's a slow news day, so we are looking at some steep discounts on classic game collections over at Humble Bundle.
It's a slow news day. So here's some great deals on some amazing collections. Humble Bundle has a few massive anthologies on sale right now, and they cover everything from arcade fighting history to early 2000s immersive sims. Anthology bundles are a great way to bulk up a digital library without hunting down original hardware.
Seven fighters out of purgatory
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics compiles seven foundational crossover fighters that were stuck in licensing purgatory for over a decade. It fits perfectly into a retro library because it finally brings rollback netcode and global leaderboards to community staples like Marvel vs. Capcom 2. The collection is currently down to $15.99, a 68% discount off the $49.99 original price.
Vent-crawling history
The Deus Ex Collection bundles Warren Spector's original 2000 immersive sim alongside its modern prequels from Eidos-Montréal. This is a mandatory piece of PC gaming history, letting you trace the evolution of player choice and stealth mechanics across multiple console generations. You can grab the entire set for $12.44, which is an 80% drop from its usual $62.24.
All eight X games
Capcom's Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 Bundle packs all eight mainline X games spanning the Super Nintendo, PlayStation, and PlayStation 2 eras into a single download. It's an ideal way to experience the high-mobility platforming subseries without tracking down expensive original cartridges and discs. The bundle is sitting at $15.99, taking 60% off the standard $39.98 tag.
Geo-Mod destruction
Red Faction Collection includes the classic sci-fi shooters that set the standard for environmental destruction engines in the early 2000s. Smashing through concrete walls on Mars is still a satisfying mechanic that modern games rarely replicate, making this a great pickup for action fans. The whole package is discounted by 80%, bringing the $59.99 original price down to $11.99.
As always with digital storefronts, these prices are subject to change.
