Xbox is getting Hades II, Replaced, and Dosa Divas this week
Three major indie titles are hitting Xbox consoles and Game Pass on April 14.
Microsoft has announced the lineup of games coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC for the week of April 13 to 17. The schedule is unusually concentrated. All three of the major highlighted releases launch on the exact same day: April 14.
It is a heavy week for Game Pass subscribers. We are getting a sequel to one of the best roguelikes ever made, a gorgeous cyberpunk platformer, and a turn-based RPG about fighting a fast food empire.
1. Hades II hits Game Pass
Supergiant Games is releasing the sequel to its massive 2020 roguelike. You play as the immortal Princess of the Underworld. Your goal is to defeat the Titan of Time with help from the Olympian gods. The original game was a masterclass in blending narrative with repeated dungeon runs. The sequel builds on that exact same foundation. It is available on Game Pass and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. PC players can also find it on their storefront of choice.
2. Replaced brings 2.5D cyberpunk action
Thunderful Publishing is launching this cinematic action platformer directly onto Game Pass. You control an artificial intelligence named R.E.A.C.H. That is trapped inside a human body against its will. The plot revolves around uncovering the secrets of the Phoenix Corporation. The visual style mixes pixel art with modern lighting effects. It has been a long wait for this one since its initial reveal. It is also available on PC.
3. Dosa Divas targets corporate fast food
Outerloop Games is dropping a narrative turn-based RPG about two sisters named Samara and Amani. They use an ancient spirit-mech to fight a rotten fast food empire. The gameplay involves platforming through villages and battling corporate goons. You also cook and eat meals to reconnect with cultural traditions. It is an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
I usually try to pace my gaming schedule. Dropping three massive time sinks on the exact same Tuesday completely ruins that plan. I will probably start with Hades II and see where the week takes me.
