Two Point Museum is getting an art expansion this May

Two Point Museum is getting an art-themed expansion called Arty-Facts on May 7. The third paid add-on for the management simulation game introduces customizable art studios, interactive exhibits, and a new emotional reaction system for visitors.

The expansion leans heavily into the series' usual brand of humor. Your museum guests will now have direct emotional reactions to the art on display. The base game already required players to manage guest needs like hunger and bathroom breaks. Now, you have to manage their psychological state. These moods range from quiet contemplation to visible terror when confronted with a creepy clown painting. Sometimes they just get flattened inside a giant interactive paint book. You will need to balance your museum layout so guests do not get overwhelmed by too many intense exhibits in a row.

Creating masterpieces

Two Point Studios released the base game in early 2025. They followed it up with the magic-themed Fantasy Finds and the animal-focused Zooseum expansions. Arty-Facts shifts the focus entirely to fine art and performance installations.

The core addition is the new Art Studio room. You can now hire Art Experts to create original works directly inside the museum. Players customize these pieces by selecting different mediums and assigning staff members with specific traits to paint them. A staff member with high creativity might produce a masterpiece, while a clumsy employee might ruin the canvas. The studio mechanics include a direct nod to Bob Ross. Your art experts will make plenty of happy little accidents during the creative process, though you will still have to clean up the paint spills.

You also send teams out on a new expedition map called Zara's Sketchbook to find existing pieces. The expansion has over 27 new art exhibits. These include several parodies of famous works. You can display "The Persistence of Dairy" (where Salvador Dali's melting clocks are replaced by pizzas) or "Box of Truffle Pigs" (an Andy Warhol spoof with boars).

Interactive galleries

The new exhibits are not just static paintings on a wall. The expansion relies heavily on performance art and interactive displays. One of the new attractions is a massive sketch show. Another is a giant notebook that physically interacts with the guests.

All of this takes place in a new museum location called the Undee Docks. The area has an industrial dockland aesthetic. The exposed brick and steel beams provide a sharp contrast to the fine art you will be displaying. You get the usual assortment of themed cafe items, gift shop souvenirs, and new wallpaper options to match the setting. The developers are adding new utility items like ticket desks, benches, and bins designed to fit the art gallery vibe. There is even a new helicopter skin for your expedition teams.

Release details

Arty-Facts launches May 7, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will follow at a later date. Two Point Studios is offering a free taste of the new content in an upcoming base game update. This patch will let all players access the Undee Docks location up to its first star rating without buying the expansion.

The free update will also include the usual round of bug fixes and optimizations. Players who want the full art gallery experience will need to pick up the DLC.

Managing a museum is stressful enough without having to worry about your guests being crushed by a giant book. At least the art experts are making paintings in the studio instead of setting the cafeteria on fire.
