Tower Dominion is out on Switch, PlayStation and Xbox
The roguelike tower defense game hits consoles a year after its PC debut, bringing modular map building and 30 heroes to new platforms.
Polish publisher Forever Entertainment released the console ports of Tower Dominion today for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. The roguelike tower defense game originally launched on PC in May 2025. Montreal-based developers Broken Spear and Nvizzio Creations built the title and self-published it under their Parallel 45 Games label. Forever Entertainment, a studio better known for remaking classic Sega properties like Panzer Dragoon and The House of the Dead, handled the transition to console hardware.
The console release was first announced in June 2026. Today's launch brings the complete PC experience to television screens and handhelds, maintaining the core mechanics that helped the game find an audience on Steam.
Broken Spear and Nvizzio Creations formed Parallel 45 Games specifically to publish this title. Nvizzio Creations has been around since 2015, working on various simulation and strategy projects, while Broken Spear opened in 2019. Combining their efforts for a strategy game makes sense given their backgrounds.
70 buildings and a modular map
Tower Dominion blends traditional tower defense with roguelike progression and modular map building. Instead of defending a static, pre-drawn path, players actively construct the route enemies must take. According to the Nintendo eShop page, each run starts with a partially generated layout that players expand using a modular building system.
I think the modular map system is the most interesting hook here. Standard tower defense can get stale when the paths are static, so letting players shape the battlefield adds necessary variety. You are essentially building the maze while defending it from Artronid invasions.
The game includes three playable factions and 30 different heroes. The defensive options are extensive, with over 70 buildings and 50 weapons available to counter the 22 enemy types. Players can also equip various perks and choose from over 180 doctrines to modify their playstyle during a run. The sheer volume of variables means you will rarely build the exact same defense twice.
Roguelike elements have become a standard addition to strategy games over the last few years. Tower Dominion uses these mechanics to force adaptation. If you rely on a single choke-point strategy, a bad roll of map tiles or doctrines will end your run early.
Smart Delivery and a 779 MB install
The console versions are available across all storefronts. Forever Entertainment confirmed the release timing in a launch tweet early this morning.
On Microsoft's platform, the Xbox store page notes that the game supports Smart Delivery, ensuring buyers get the correct version for either their Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S console. The PlayStation release covers both PS4 and PS5 hardware. The Switch version weighs in at a highly manageable 779 MB and supports standard cloud saves for Nintendo Switch Online members.
All console ports include the five difficulty levels from the original PC release. They also feature the Extended Mode, which allows players to push their defensive builds past the standard run length to see how long they can survive against the late-wave enemy units. The Pits system, which introduces new modifiers to each run, is fully intact on consoles as well.
