Star Wars Outlaws Hits Xbox Game Pass With Post-Launch Improvements

Ubisoft's open-world adventure Star Wars Outlaws has officially joined the Xbox Game Pass library as of January 13, 2026. The title is now available for subscribers across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

If you hesitated to drop full price on this one back in 2024, the subscription addition offers a lower-stakes entry point. You play as Kay Vess, a scoundrel trying to navigate the criminal underworld while avoiding the Empire. It is essentially the Han Solo simulator people asked for, complete with a distinct lack of lightsabers and a heavy reliance on a cute alien companion.

The version arriving on Game Pass benefits from over a year of post-launch support. According to Xbox Wire, developer Massive Entertainment has implemented significant changes to the core gameplay loops. The stealth mechanics and combat scenarios have received specific tuning updates to address player feedback from the initial release. Controls have also been tightened up, which should help when you are trying to speeder-bike your way out of a botched heist.

The game has also expanded its roster of legacy characters through downloadable content since its debut. The "Wild Card" story pack involves infiltrating a high-stakes Sabacc tournament with Lando Calrissian. Another expansion, "A Pirate's Fortune," features the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka, a character who manages to survive every era of the franchise through sheer charisma and opportunism.
