Star Wars Celebration 2027 is heading to Los Angeles next April

Lucasfilm has announced the dates and ticket details for Star Wars Celebration 2027. The massive fan convention will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from April 1 to April 4, 2027. Tickets go on sale May 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. PT.

The 2027 event lines up with the 50th anniversary of the original film's release. The official announcement includes a short hype video packed with crowd shots, cosplayers, and brief glimpses of past stage panels.

The Filoni era

Dave Filoni is now Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm. His influence on the television side of the franchise is already massive, from his early days on The Clone Wars to his current live-action work. This will be the first Celebration fully under his overarching creative leadership. The stage presentations at these events usually dictate the news cycle for the next two years of Star Wars media. Fans will be watching closely to see how his oversight changes the tone and structure of the major panel announcements.
