Pragmata adds free Mega Man and Roll crossover costumes today

Capcom released a free Mega Man DLC pack for Pragmata today, adding crossover costumes for Hugh and Diana. The download is live right now. It includes two visual styles for the game's protagonists, pulling from both classic designs and heavily stylized armor.

Capcom originally revealed Pragmata in 2020 with a bizarre trailer featuring a spaceman and a young girl in a futuristic Times Square. After multiple delays and years of radio silence, the game finally made it out the door. The core hook revolves around Hugh and his android companion Diana navigating a cold lunar research station, solving puzzles and fighting enemies with a hacking mechanic.

Adding the Mega Man items brings a bit of levity to the otherwise stark environment. Pragmata is already on my game of the year list. I also love Mega Man, so I completely approve of this crossover.

Two flavors of cosplay

The pack doesn't just offer one look. It splits the cosmetics into two tiers. The "Fan" sets put Hugh in a bulky, literal interpretation of the classic Blue Bomber suit, complete with a helmet that looks slightly absurd in a high-fidelity sci-fi setting. Diana gets a matching Roll outfit. It works, which is the nicest thing I can say about seeing a giant cartoon helmet in a lunar research station. The contrast is jarring. It feels like someone dropped a mascot costume into a Ridley Scott film.

The trailer shows Hugh using the Mega Man Fan suit in combat. He fires weapons and dodges attacks in the futuristic city environments, and the bright blue armor stands out aggressively against the muted grays and neon lights of the colony. The animations remain unchanged. Seeing the classic Mega Man colors in motion just adds a ridiculous layer to the gunplay.

The second tier swaps the literal cosplay for the "Mode" (Dual Override) designs. These skins look like actual mecha armor built for the game's universe. Hugh gets an angular, visor-heavy combat suit that fits right in with the existing tech. Diana gets a sleeker, robotic take on Roll's aesthetic. You'll probably end up using these if you actually want to take the game seriously.

The Tokyo Game Show booth

Capcom is pushing the crossover heavily at the Tokyo Game Show this week. Attendees who play the Pragmata demo at the company's booth receive a special Mega Man cloth. They're also selling physical Dual Override merchandise at the show. It's a smart way to tie a digital update to a physical event, especially for a game that spent so much time in development limbo.

The base game and the new DLC are available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and GeForce NOW.
