PlayStation Plus January 2026: Epic Mickey Rebrushed and Need for Speed Unbound

According to the PlayStation Blog, Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for January 2026. The selection includes Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. These titles will be available to add to subscriber libraries starting Tuesday, January 6, and will remain available until Monday, February 2.

The Mouse Returns

For those interested in game preservation and history, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is the standout inclusion here. The original title launched exclusively on the Nintendo Wii in 2010. It was a strange, darker take on Disney lore that focused on the Wasteland, a world populated by forgotten characters like Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

The Rebrushed edition updates the visuals and gameplay for modern hardware, removing the motion control requirements that tethered the original to the Wii. It is rare for a licensed platformer from that era to receive this level of care. Usually, these titles languish in licensing hell until the discs rot.

Racing and Digging

Also joining the lineup is Need for Speed Unbound. Developed by Criterion Games, this 2023 release took the long-running franchise in a stylized direction. It mixes realistic car models with cel-shaded character art and visual effects. It looks a bit like a graffiti mural coming to life at 150 miles per hour.

Rounding out the list is Core Keeper. This mining sandbox adventure game spent time in Early Access before its full release. It drops players into a procedurally generated underground world to mine, craft, and fight. It shares DNA with titles like Terraria and Stardew Valley, though with a greater emphasis on subterranean exploration.
