June's PlayStation Plus lineup adds Grounded and Darktide
PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting three solid co-op and multiplayer games this June, including Obsidian's backyard survival game Grounded.
Sony has announced the June 2026 PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup. The update brings Grounded Fully Yoked Edition, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 to the service. Looking over the list, I think there are some genuinely fun games in here, especially if you have a regular co-op group ready to go.
Obsidian's backyard survival
Grounded Fully Yoked Edition is the headliner. Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds, spent a few years refining this survival game in early access on PC and Xbox before bringing it to PlayStation platforms on April 16, 2024. You play as a miniaturized teenager trapped in a suburban backyard. Your daily routine involves fighting off terrifyingly large spiders and building bases out of grass blades.
The Fully Yoked Edition includes all the content updates Obsidian released over the game's lifespan. This final version adds new bosses, armor sets, and a New Game Plus mode. The game also supports cross-platform multiplayer, so you can easily group up with friends playing on PC or Xbox consoles. It is a massive time sink, but the progression loop is incredibly satisfying once you get past the brutal early hours.
Four players against the horde
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide fills the cooperative shooter slot for the month. Developer Fatshark took the melee-heavy formula they perfected in the Vermintide series and moved it to the grimdark sci-fi universe of Warhammer 40K. You and three other players drop into the hive city of Tertium to clear out waves of corrupted enemies. Players can choose between four distinct classes, ranging from the magic-wielding Psyker to the massive, hulking Ogryn.
The combat is heavy and brutal, backed by an excellent industrial synthesizer soundtrack by composer Jesper Kyd. Fatshark struggled with the game's progression systems at launch on PC, but they have spent the last couple of years overhauling the class trees and loot mechanics. The version hitting PlayStation Plus is in a much better state than the original release.
Slime and platform fighting
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 rounds out the new additions. The first game was a budget title that gained brief internet fame before players realized it lacked voice acting and overall polish. The sequel fixes almost all of those problems. Developers Fair Play Labs and Ludosity built a full campaign mode, improved the rollback netcode, and added actual voice lines for characters like SpongeBob, Garfield, and Jimmy Neutron.
They also introduced a Slime Meter, which works like a traditional fighting game EX gauge to enhance special moves or cancel attacks. The mechanics are surprisingly deep for a licensed platform fighter. It will not replace Super Smash Bros. Melee at major tournaments, but it is a great weekend distraction for a group of friends.
A lingering football game
If you missed last month's sports offering, EA Sports FC 26 is sticking around as a PlayStation Plus Monthly Game through June 16.
