Fantasy Life i is getting a mobile port with cross-play this summer
Level-5's hit life simulation RPG is coming to iOS and Android in 2026, complete with cross-save support across all console and PC versions.
Level-5 is bringing its life simulation RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time to iOS and Android devices in summer 2026. The mobile port will arrive alongside an update that adds full cross-play and cross-save support across every platform the game is currently available on.
That means players on mobile can share progress and jump into multiplayer sessions with users on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
The game finally launched in May 2025 after suffering through multiple delays. It ended up being a massive hit for Level-5, selling over 1.5 million copies by the end of the year. The success was a much-needed win for a studio that had previously struggled with closed international branches and a string of delayed projects like Decapolice.
The core gameplay loop involves switching between 14 different jobs (or "Lives"). These range from combat roles like Paladin and Mercenary to gathering and crafting roles like Woodcutter and Cook. You spend half your time fighting monsters and the other half decorating a town. Now Level-5 is cramming that entire experience onto phones.
Full game, no microtransactions
This is not a stripped-down, free-to-play spin-off heavily monetized with microtransactions. It is the full console game adapted for touchscreens. The mobile release is a premium title that includes all the updates and downloadable content previously released on other platforms.
The developer has adapted the controls for mobile devices. The interface uses a standard virtual joystick and action button layout. The touch controls have to accommodate a wide variety of inputs, since combat requires dodging and attacking, while the crafting mini-games rely on timing and rhythm mechanics. The mobile version also includes full controller support for players who prefer physical buttons.
Moving saves between platforms
The cross-save functionality is the most appealing part of this release. Players can start building their town on a PlayStation 5, upload their save data, and continue chopping wood on their phone during a commute. You just need to link your account to hop between platforms at will.
The cross-play implementation is equally comprehensive. Players on iOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox can all run around the same multiplayer instance together. Getting Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and mobile ecosystems to play nice in a single co-op session is always a welcome sight.
Multiplayer is a huge part of the game's appeal. Because players can freely swap classes, a group can divide the labor. One person can play as a Paladin to fight off enemies while another hangs back to mine ore or catch fish. Expanding the multiplayer pool to include mobile users will likely give the game's active population a healthy boost.
Level-5 has not announced an exact price or a specific release date beyond the summer 2026 window. Given the studio's history of pushing release dates back, we will wait for a firm launch day before clearing space on our phones.
