Falcom releases dog-themed GraffArt merchandise for the Crossbell arc
New merchandise for The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki features the Special Support Section in canine cosplay via the GraffArt series.
Nihon Falcom has announced a new line of merchandise for The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki and Ao no Kiseki featuring dog-themed character designs. The collection is produced by A3 under their "GraffArt" label and is available for purchase through the eeo Store Online.
The collaboration reimagines the cast of the Crossbell arc in a "scribble" style reminiscent of chalk drawings. While the Trails series is generally known for its dense political intrigue and long-winded conversations about the nature of justice, this specific merchandise line focuses entirely on putting dog ears on the Special Support Section. According to Nihon Falcom, these are newly drawn illustrations created specifically for this release.
The Collection
The promotional materials showcase standard collector fare including acrylic stands and tin badges. The designs feature the main cast in various canine-inspired costumes. This aligns with the GraffArt brand identity, which A3 describes as a "graffiti-style" design series. It offers a looser, more casual aesthetic compared to the standard anime key art usually plastered on clear files and wall scrolls.
A Legacy of Merchandise
Zero no Kiseki (2010) and Ao no Kiseki (2011) originally launched on the PlayStation Portable in Japan. They serve as the bridge between the Trails in the Sky trilogy and the massive Cold Steel arc. For years, these titles were the missing link for Western fans until official localizations finally arrived recently.
Falcom has a reputation for keeping its back catalog alive through aggressive merchandising. While some companies let their older IP gather dust, Falcom seems content to release new goods for 15-year-old PSP games alongside their modern releases. It keeps the characters in the public consciousness. It also gives collectors another reason to clear shelf space for yet another set of acrylic stands.
