Epic Games Free Games: Electrician Simulator, World of Warships

The Epic Games Store is giving away PC copies of Electrician Simulator and a $25 World of Warships DLC pack for free until March 26.

Take IT Studio! released the simulation game back in September 2022. The Polish development team actually includes people who previously worked on the survival horror game Chernobylite. They pivoted from scanning irradiated exclusion zones to modeling residential wiring. Co-published by Gaming Factory and Ultimate Games S.A., the title fits neatly into the booming subgenre of blue-collar job simulators.

The core gameplay loop splits your time between two distinct modes. Half the game takes place at your personal workbench. Clients mail you broken electronics like gamepads, hair dryers, and toasters. You have to unscrew the chassis, test individual capacitors with a multimeter, and solder replacement parts onto the circuit boards. It is surprisingly methodical.

The other half involves traveling to client houses to perform on-site installations. You take jobs diagnosing electrical faults, replacing blown fuses, and running new wire through walls. The game enforces basic safety protocols. You have to turn off the main breaker before working on a live circuit. If you forget, the game simulates a nasty shock and you fail the contract.

A 2025 expansion adds smart home tech

I have spent entirely too much time in these hyper-specific career simulators. There is a very real satisfaction in routing cables neatly without the real-world risk of burning my house down. The game normally costs $17.99 and has since been ported to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. This specific giveaway only applies to the PC version through Epic's launcher.

The base game covers standard residential work like installing sockets and fixing light fixtures. Take IT Studio! also released a Smart Devices expansion on March 3, 2025. That add-on brings modern home automation tasks into the mix. It lets you install security cameras, set up motion sensors, and configure smart home hubs. The expansion is not included in the free giveaway, but the base game provides plenty of content on its own.

A $25 destroyer for Wargaming's MMO

The second freebie this week is the Epic Anniversary Tachibana Pack for World of Warships. Wargaming originally launched its naval combat MMO back in 2015. This specific DLC drop celebrates the game's fifth year being available on the Epic Games Store.

The pack includes a Premium Tier 2 Japanese destroyer (the Tachibana) and five permanent camouflages. It normally carries a $25 price tag. The Tachibana is a fast-firing, low-tier ship that works well for new players learning the torpedo mechanics.

Epic rotates its free game offerings every Thursday, so a new set of titles will replace these next week.
