Diablo II: Resurrected adds Warlock class in big update
Diablo II: Resurrected just got a major upgrade with the 'Reign of the Warlock' update, introducing a new class, endgame challenges, and quality-of-life improvements.
Diablo II: Resurrected has officially launched its 'Reign of the Warlock' update, bringing the first new playable class to the game in over 25 years: the Warlock. This substantial addition also includes a host of new endgame content and long-requested quality-of-life improvements, marking the most significant update the remaster has received since its launch.
The Warlock is a dark scholar who wields forbidden magic, specializing in Chaos, Eldritch, and Demon skill trees. Players can bind demons, transform weapons, and unleash hellish powers, leading to hundreds of potential build combinations. This new class is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Expanded Endgame and New Challenges
Beyond the Warlock, the 'Reign of the Warlock' update introduces updated Terror Zones and a new endgame encounter called the Colossal Ancients. Terror Zones now offer players more control over their farming locations, with enhanced difficulty and rewards. To face the Colossal Ancients, players must collect five statues dropped by Terrorized Act bosses and combine them in the Horadric Cube. This challenging encounter escalates in difficulty as players defeat each Ancient, offering exclusive Unique Jewels as a reward.
Quality-of-Life Improvements Arrive
A major focus of this update is the implementation of several highly requested quality-of-life features. Players can now utilize a customizable Loot Filter to highlight valuable drops and reduce screen clutter, a feature that has been absent from the game since its original release. Additionally, the game now features enhanced Stash Tabs, including dedicated sections for gems, runes, and materials, significantly improving inventory management. The 'Chronicle' system has also been added, providing an in-game tracker for all collected unique items, set items, and runewords, catering to completionists and collectors.
