August 8th free games roundup

There are three free games for you to claim today across different storefronts. These offers are on a tight timer, but they are all completely free to keep permanently once you add them to your account.

Steam

Redruins Softworks is giving away its space survival adventure to build hype for the upcoming sequel. You play as a guy stranded in deep space with an immortal chicken. The writing is genuinely funny, and the crafting mechanics are surprisingly deep for a game that does not take itself seriously at all. Breathedge is free to keep if you claim it by August 9.

Ubisoft Connect

Ubisoft is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Ghost Recon franchise by giving away this 2012 tactical shooter. The optical camouflage and Gunsmith customization still hold up well today. You have until August 13 to add Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier to your library.

Epic Games Store

Developer Planet 47 Games released this casual 3D platformer back in April 2024. You control a hybrid spider-fox creature. Your main goal is to use grappling webs to cure other mashed-up animals across the map, which is a bizarre but fun premise. Spider Fox is completely free to claim until August 13.

Make sure you log in and click the claim buttons before these expiration dates hit. Once they are in your library, they are yours forever. Do not miss out.
