Arc System Works is broadcasting a new showcase on June 24, 2026. The stream will provide updates on the studio's upcoming slate of games. The presentation kicks off at 2 PM Pacific Time on the company's YouTube channel and will cover a variety of titles currently in development.

Fans immediately filled the official announcement's comment section requesting everything from a Hard Corps: Uprising port to a new Samurai Shodown. The franchise has been kept alive through spin-offs like Entropy Effect and various guest appearances, but a mainline fighting game is long overdue. Arc System Works is hosting a separate panel at Anime Expo on July 4 to reveal an unannounced anime-style game. If a new BlazBlue project is actually happening, they might save the reveal for the convention crowd.

Marvel and demons

We already know a few heavy hitters on the publisher's calendar. The showcase will likely dedicate a chunk of time to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls' final roster and launch modes. Having the Guilty Gear team handle a Marvel property is a massive deal for the fighting game community, especially given the long shadow cast by Capcom's historical dominance with the license.

The publisher is also handling Demon's Night Fever, an upcoming simulation RPG developed by SuperNiche. It is a weird pivot from traditional fighting games.

No new Bubble Bobble

A brand new Bubble Bobble announcement is highly unlikely. Taito and Arc System Works already have the franchise covered for the summer. Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeons Boosted drops on August 20 as a free major update for the base game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The patch adds new bonus gates, increased item drop rates, and a massive Castle stage with maze-like connected rooms.

The update also includes a ported version of the 1997 home console release of Bubble Symphony. It is a substantial content drop for a game celebrating the 40th anniversary of the franchise.

The Hard Corps pipe dream

It is always fun reading the comment sections of these announcements just to see what obscure ports people are begging for. The requests for Hard Corps: Uprising are completely justified.

We will likely get a roadmap update for Guilty Gear Strive as well, considering the game is still receiving steady patches across all platforms. The broadcast is scheduled to run right before the major summer fighting game tournaments kick off. It is the perfect time to drop a new character trailer.
