April 9th free games roundup
Amazon

I love a good Thursday. The Epic Games Store and Amazon Prime Gaming both update their free game rotations today, and we also have a surprise giveaway from tinyBuild. Here are the games you can claim and keep forever right now.

1. Prop Sumo

Platform: Epic Games Store

Barrel Roll Games just launched this party brawler today, and they are giving it away for free on day one. You and your friends play as everyday objects like punching bags and rocking horses to beat each other up in physics-based combat across nine different arenas. It supports online multiplayer but does not have support for local co-op.

2. King of Retail

Platform: Steam

Retail workers finally have a chance to be the boss. King of Retail was released on Steam on September 14, 2022, and is not currently available for free on Amazon Prime Gaming. In this management simulator, you design a store layout, hire staff, manage inventory, and keep customers happy. You can sell whatever you want, whether that means running a high-end electronics boutique or a store that only sells white t-shirts and ketchup.

3. A Rat's Quest: The Way Back Home

Platform: Steam

This newly released 3D platformer follows a rat named Mat as he tries to navigate the dangerous, oversized world of a human house to reunite with a pet mouse. A Rat's Quest: The Way Back Home was released on Steam on April 2 or 3, 2026, and is not currently available for free on Amazon Prime Gaming. It is a story-heavy adventure with a lot of stealth and puzzle-solving. You have to avoid threats that would normally seem harmless to a human.

4. Graveyard Keeper

Platform: Steam, PlayStation, Xbox

To celebrate today's announcement of a sequel, tinyBuild is giving away the original game completely free. It is a dark, funny cemetery management sim where you build a graveyard and occasionally throw bodies in the river to save time. It plays a lot like Stardew Valley, just with a much higher body count and a lot more moral ambiguity.
