8 highlights from September's PlayStation Plus catalog

Sony just detailed the September 2026 PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. The main batch unlocks globally on September 15. Players in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan get a staggered rollout for a few specific titles throughout the rest of the month. The list covers everything from massive wrestling rosters to dating household appliances, and the Premium tier is getting a genuinely weird piece of Capcom history. Here are eight highlights worth your hard drive space.

Date Everything!

This sandbox dating simulator from Team17 is available right now if you live in the US or UK. You play as a customer service worker who loses their job to AI and receives magical glasses that turn household objects into dateable entities. I'm not entirely sure how romancing a vacuum cleaner plays out in practice. The sheer absurdity of 100 fully voice-acted objects makes it an easy download, though.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Jagex brings its co-operative survival crafting RPG to consoles for its full 1.0 release on September 15. The game spent a little over a year in Early Access on PC. It drops you onto the forgotten continent of Ashenfall to gather materials, level up skills, and fight dragons. You can build bases and tackle the new Garou enemies together.

WWE 2K26

Visual Concepts packed more than 400 playable wrestlers into this year's entry. The main draw is the 2K Showcase mode, which focuses entirely on CM Punk and lets you rewrite historical fantasy scenarios where he never left the company. It's a massive download. It's also probably the most comprehensive wrestling package available on modern hardware.

Ball x Pit

Kenny Sun and Devolver Digital released this fantasy roguelite and brick-breaking hybrid last October. You dive into the ruins of Ballbylon with magic-infused projectiles to clear out monsters and rebuild the city. It unlocks on September 22 for the staggered regions. The loop of upgrading arcane ammunition sounds dangerously addictive, and I want to see how the brick-breaking mechanics blend with a roguelite structure.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound

This one arrives at the end of the month on September 29. Don't expect to play as Ryu Hayabusa here. The game shifts focus entirely, starring Kenji Mozu and Kumori as the playable protagonists. It's a different flavor of action for the long-running series. Putting it on a subscription service is a smart way to get hesitant players to try the new leads.

Mega Man X Command Mission

The Premium tier gets a weird piece of Capcom history. Released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube, Command Mission took the fast-paced platforming of the X series and turned it into a turn-based RPG. It hasn't been ported much since its original release.

Slitterhead

Bokeh Game Studio's action-horror game hits the catalog on September 22 for the US, UK, and Japan. You play as a formless entity called Hyoki, possessing ordinary people and turning their blood into weapons to fight brain-eating monsters. It's a bizarre premise from the original creator of Silent Hill, and the combat looks incredibly frantic.

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Microbird Games blends social simulation with Zelda-style dungeon crawling in the Austrian Alps. You spend your days solving puzzles and fighting monsters in brightly colored biomes, then head back to town at night to grab a coffee and build relationships with the locals. It unlocks on September 29. The art style is gorgeous. The mix of vacation tourism with action-RPG mechanics is a refreshing change of pace.

The Premium tier also adds 4A Games' post-apocalyptic shooter compilation Metro Redux. If you're in the staggered regions, remember to check back on the 22nd and 29th for the late-month additions.

BALL x PIT is available on Humble Bundle for $11.99 (20% off).

Date Everything! is available on Humble Bundle for $10.19 (66% off).
