Supersonic EM+ is coming to AtGames Legends Pinball

AtGames is releasing the jet-themed Supersonic EM+ virtual pinball table for its Legends Pinball cabinets on March 19. The digital table will be available for both the standard HD and newer 4K machines through the company's built-in store. This release adds another original layout to a platform that has been steadily expanding its library since the launch of the 4K hardware.

This is not a brand new game built exclusively for the cabinet. Hungarian developer Magic Pixel Kft. originally released Supersonic EM+ on Steam in December 2025. It launched as part of the second EM+ DLC pack for Zaccaria Pinball alongside other original concepts like Locomotion EM+ and Hot Wheels EM+. Now AtGames is bringing that exact layout to its standalone home arcade ecosystem. Magic Pixel has been a long-time software partner for AtGames. The studio provided the foundational games for the original Legends Pinball cabinet, and they continue to port their PC catalog over to the dedicated hardware.

Zaccaria was a real Italian pinball manufacturer that produced dozens of tables in the 1970s and 1980s. Magic Pixel initially made a name for itself by meticulously digitizing that obscure physical catalog for PC players. Once they ran out of real Zaccaria tables to recreate, the studio started designing original concepts using the same physics engine and art style. The EM+ series is the latest result of that original development.

Bridging the gap

The "EM+" designation refers to a specific design philosophy. These tables are built to look like classic electro-mechanical machines from the 1960s and 1970s, but they run on modern solid-state logic. That means you get the retro aesthetic of physical score reels, painted wood, and chime sound effects. Under the hood, they run complex rulesets, multi-ball modes, and combo systems that physical EM tables never had. It is an interesting hybrid approach that caters to players who like vintage art but want modern gameplay depth.

Speed and target accuracy

Supersonic EM+ leans heavily into its aerial combat theme. The upper playfield has a set of drop targets spelling out "TURBO" alongside jet fighter graphics and a central spinner. The layout might look a bit empty or sparse compared to the ramp-heavy tables of the 1990s. There are no massive plastic toys or elaborate wireforms blocking your view. Instead, the focus is entirely on speed and target accuracy. You have to rely on quick reflexes rather than memorizing long ramp combos.

Players can earn bonuses by hitting the "AIR FLY" and "JET PILOT" scoring lanes in the middle of the board. The trailer also mentions specific objectives like Jet Stream, Sonic Boom, and Sky Hunter. Hitting specific target banks in sequence likely activates them.

The AtGames hardware ecosystem relies heavily on this type of continuous content. The original Legends Pinball HD uses a 1080p display, while the newer 4K model upgrades the playfield to a 32-inch 4K screen running at 60 frames per second. Both machines use physical plungers and tactile feedback exciters to simulate the feel of a real rolling ball.

I am always happy to see a steady stream of new releases for the AtGames platform. Even if a specific table layout feels a little barebones, having a constant feed of fresh games keeps the hardware from gathering dust. The transition from the older HD cabinets to the new 4K models split the player base slightly over the last year. Seeing AtGames continue to push new tables to both generations is exactly what the platform needs to maintain its momentum.
