Pre-release trailer shows off The Witch's Bakery ahead of October 14 launch
Sunny Lab's cozy adventure RPG mixes Parisian bakery management with surreal platforming inside customers' hearts.
Sunny Lab and Silver Lining Interactive have released a final pre-release trailer for The Witch's Bakery. The footage arrives just days before the game launches on October 14, 2026. While the new video comes from PlayStation's channel and focuses on the PS5 release, the cozy adventure RPG is also coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2. The game has been in the works for a while, and this trailer serves as a final pitch to players before the digital storefronts update next week.

The game follows a young witch named Lunne who moves to modern Paris to open a bakery. She has one magical ability. She can see into people's hearts and heal their emotional trauma using pastries. The development team originally announced the project in late 2025, and this final trailer shows how the core gameplay loops fit together.
Three shifts a day
The game splits each day into three distinct phases. During the daytime hours, you manage the bakery by serving customers and completing first-person baking mini-games. You knead dough, solve grid-based puzzles, and run the shop.

When evening hits, the shop closes and the city opens up. You'll explore different districts of Paris, including the real-world Quai des Bouquinistes, which is where the social simulation elements happen. Lunne talks to locals, buys books to unlock new recipes, and builds relationships with the cast. The trailer shows off an anime art style that leans heavily into Ghibli-inspired cityscapes. Lunne is joined by a large cast of Parisian locals and magical creatures, including a pink familiar who rides on her broom and an anthropomorphic purple librarian named Ghaldari.
Nighttime is for downtime. You return to the atelier to rest, upgrade Lunne's magic abilities, and arrange decorations around the bakery.
Platforming through emotional baggage

The biggest mechanical shift happens when a customer's emotional problems are too severe for a simple croissant. Lunne can perform a "heart dive" into a surreal realm called the Heart Palace, turning the customer's internal struggles into physical platforming levels. The cozy shop management gives way to action sequences. You navigate mazes and fight massive enemies that represent repressed emotions. The goal is to guide a personified emotion back to the center of the palace, which reveals the secret ingredient needed to bake their cure.
I want to see whether the platforming feels as polished as the shop management, but any game that lets me play as a witch in Paris already has my attention. The contrast between arranging display cases and fighting giant monsters inside a customer's subconscious is a fun hook.
Silver Lining Interactive is publishing the title across all major platforms. The Witch's Bakery launches digitally on October 14 for $19.99 on PlayStation, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, while physical boxed editions will hit retail shelves on October 16 for PlayStation and Nintendo systems. They include a digital cookbook. Sunny Lab also confirmed a mobile release is coming later through Crunchyroll Game Vault, though that version does not have a firm date yet.
